What I do

Heating and cooling, plus the simple stuff that goes with it.

Residential only. I do AC and furnace repair, full system replacement, tune-ups, and the assorted air-quality work that comes up with it. Pricing below is honest — these are the actual ranges I quote, not "starting at" bait.

AC repair & replacement

AC repair & replacement.

Most AC calls in Bakersfield are one of four things — a blown capacitor, a tripped breaker, a dirty condenser, or a refrigerant leak. I can diagnose 95% of no-cool calls in under an hour. Diagnostic fee is $95, credited toward any repair you approve.

For full-system replacement: I install Carrier, Trane, Goodman, and Mr. Cool (for ductless mini-splits). Most replacements are a one-day job for a tech-plus-helper crew — me and Beto. I'll match you to the right SEER and tonnage for your house, not the unit with the biggest commission for me.

Numbers above are honest ranges. Your number depends on whether the line set needs replacing, electrical condition, and warranty status. You get a written quote before I start.

Furnace repair & replacement

Furnace repair & replacement.

Natural gas, electric, and dual-fuel. Most repair calls in winter come down to ignitor, flame sensor, blower motor, or control board. Diagnostic fee is the same $95.

For replacement: I install 80% AFUE and 95%+ AFUE units. Honestly, in Kern County, 80% is the sweet spot for most houses — we don't run furnaces enough hours per year to amortize the high-efficiency premium. I'll do the math with you.

Tune-ups

Tune-ups.

Spring AC tune-up and fall furnace tune-up. $145 per system, per visit. I'll run a 14-point checklist on each — refrigerant pressure, electrical, capacitor microfarad, blower amp draw, condenser cleaning, condensate drain line, filter, thermostat calibration. You get the checklist filled out and signed.

I don't sell maintenance plans. If you want a yearly tune-up, just text me in March and again in October — Maritza will get you on the schedule.

Replacement quotes

Replacement quotes.

If your system is on its last legs, I'll come out and give you a written replacement quote for free. No diagnostic fee, no pressure, no "today only" nonsense.

I'll tell you straight: when repair is the right call, when replacement is the right call, and where the line is. Sometimes the answer is "patch it for one more summer, replace next spring" — that's a fine answer.
